We’re so glad that you’d like to be a part of our ‘Phone a Community Friend’ project. The aim of the service is to combat social isolation and loneliness experienced by many during the current Covid-19 pandemic by buddying you or someone you know over the phone with one of our like-minded project volunteers. To ensure the telephone service is right for you or the person you have in mind please make sure you consider the below points:
The service won’t be suitable for people with the following conditions as they will require a higher level of support which unfortunately our volunteers won’t be trained to provide:
Memory Loss
Dementia
Mental Health Issues
Have issues around hearing or speech
Further Information on the project

Is it safe? We want to assure you that all our volunteers have been appropriately vetted
Is there a guideline for the length of call? We will allocate 30 minutes per call however if you talk less or for a bit more than 30 minutes that’s fine!
